As dance teaching artists in schools, studios, and other dance settings, we often find ourselves teaching classes in isolation with little opportunity to step back and consider big picture goals and accomplishments. What are our key priorities and intentions in teaching? And how can we continue to develop as teachers? Join Monica Cameron Frichtel and Teresa VanDenend Sorge in considering these questions and exploring various methodsof self and classroom assessment in dance. This interactive movement workshop will share quick and easy ways to set up assessment practices and will invite participants to reflect on their own dance teaching practices.
