OCTOBER 27- 30, 2022 PDP Presents DANCE UP CLOSE in partnership with Taller Puertorriqueño

present a new installation/dancework created by award-winning 2022 Guggenheim Fellow, Silvana Cardell at Taller Puertorriqueño, 2600 North 5th Street, Phila PA 19133.

Presented as a series of episodic installations, the performance will unfold in layers of sound, movement, and images. An oversized animal sculpture will represent the intensity of life and the ultimate other. Reflecting on the human and nonhuman relationships, Cardell proposes to examine anthropocentric narratives, illuminating an urgent conversation about new relationships to other species in the world we inhabit.

This work is made possible in part by The National Endowment for the Arts.
