Literature is a great springboard for dance-making and exploration. Join TAG for a chance to delve into the connections between dance and language for young children. This workshop will explore the six language arts– reading, writing, speaking, listening, visually viewing, and visually representing, and their relationship to dance through a variety of common creative processes. Visiting teaching artist Mary LaBianca will model a sample class on dance and literacy designed for 6 to 9 year olds, demonstrating an approach which can be adapted to many different teaching situations.
